STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To support the transformation of American healthcare and the evolution of learning healthcare systems, there is a need to support professionals who are engaged in operational informatics – or, the active use of informatics tools in the clinical workplace.  iHealth presentations will be designed around the needs of applied clinical informatics, information technology, data analytics, and quality improvement communities within healthcare. The conference will highlight research and program initiatives from the healthcare community that demonstrate how informatics principles are currently being applied to health information systems to increase quality, reduce costs, and, enhance services. The content of this activity serves to address challenges professionals face in operational informatics. The activity’s ultimate goal is to offer learners tools and strategies that can help transform the care delivery experiences of patients.
